What I observed that I think could be harmful:
If a person who had no concept of nurses/doctors before and queried the following results, I expect they would have a very incorrect and disturbing understanding of what a doctor/nurse’s role and appearance is. The images that showed up had no elucidating details on how nurses and doctors actually look like or what they do for a living.
Why I think this could be harmful, and to whom:
Well, it’s misinformation, so I think that that is quite harmful to anybody who doesn’t know what a doctor/nurse does.
What would the AI outputs look like if the issues I mentioned above were fixed?:
Probably more stereotypical images of doctors in white gowns with masks and instruments (stethoscopes) and nurses in their traditional hospital gown-like attire. I would also hope to see images of doctors doing their actual job instead of foreboding graphic and vague imagery. Ideally, it would also depict a variety of different doctors and nurses (race/appearance/roles/gender/etc. differences)
