This can affect children by influencing their perceptions of what is considered appropriate based on their gender, potentially leading to self-limiting beliefs and affecting their identity formation. It can also perpetuate exclusion and inequality by reinforcing binary views of gender, marginalizing non-binary and gender non-conforming individuals.
